Indigenous and First Nations AI Skills Training

Your Nation Sets the Direction. We Deliver the Skills.

AI Edge Pathways is a 12-week skills training program designed for Indigenous governance, administration, and community operations.

AI Is Already Reshaping Governance. The Question Is Who Directs It.

Nations that build structured AI skills now can strengthen capacity, reduce staff burden, and retain control over how tools are used.

Nations that wait face growing gaps in efficiency, evaluation capability, and governance control.

"The question is not whether AI will shape governance. The question is whether your Nation will direct that change."

Generic corporate AI training does not fit governance, cultural, and data realities of Indigenous communities. Pathways is designed for this context.

Your Data. Your Knowledge. Your Control.

Your Nation's Information Stays With Your Nation

We teach skills. We do not collect, store, access, or retain community data, governance records, or culturally sensitive information.

Training includes when not to use AI, especially around culturally significant information and knowledge your Nation chooses to keep outside digital systems.

Designed for Indigenous Governance

Participants apply AI skills directly to real responsibilities, not corporate case studies.

Program Management

Funding applications, compliance reporting, and evaluation.

Community Services

Housing, health coordination, education administration, member communications.

Finance and Operations

Internal AI Champions Who Carry Skills Forward

Participants become internal AI champions who support colleagues and sustain capability inside Nation operations.

Lasting change comes from your people carrying capability forward.

"When your people carry the skills, the capability stays with the Nation."

From ME to WE

The program is built in two deliberate phases. The first builds personal mastery — your skills, your workflows, your AI work assistant. The second turns that mastery outward, applying it to leadership, collaboration, and team-wide impact.

Weeks 1–8

The ME Phase

Everything starts with you. Participants build personal AI capability from the ground up — mastering the four core skills and applying them directly to their own role, responsibilities, and daily work.

  • Your personal AI work assistant, built and configured for your role
  • Prompting as a transferable skill, not memorized scripts
  • Workflow design applied to real tasks every week
  • Critical evaluation — knowing when to trust AI and when to override it

Weeks 9–11

The WE Phase

Once the skill is yours, we turn it outward. Participants apply their AI capability to leadership, communication, and team impact — becoming the person in their organization who raises everyone else's game.

  • Using AI to lead more effectively and communicate more clearly
  • Supporting colleagues in building their own capability
  • Building team workflows that multiply the impact of individual skills
  • Sustaining AI adoption without mandates or top-down pressure
Cohort schedule: Pathways cohorts are scheduled around your Nation's calendar and operational priorities. We work with your leadership to set a start date and pace that fits your team.

Why These Skills Actually Stick

Most AI training fails because it is built for tools, not people. AI Edge is built on adult learning principles — the same research-backed approach used to develop high-performing professionals in medicine, trades, and elite education. Skills are not transferred through slides. They are built through guided practice, applied to real work, with support when it counts.

Adult Learning Methodology

Every session is built around how adults actually retain skills — not lectures, not passive watching. You practice on real work, get feedback in the moment, and repeat until the skill is yours. That is what makes it stick.

1:1

1-on-1 Coaching Applied to Your Job

Each participant gets coaching time directly tied to their actual role and responsibilities. Not generic exercises — your inbox, your workflow, your decisions. Skills land differently when they are built on work that matters to you.

Open Office Hours

Stuck mid-week? Hit a wall on a real task? Office hours are there when you need them. Ongoing access to ask questions, work through problems, and keep momentum between sessions.

"The goal is not to finish the program. The goal is to never want to work without these skills again."

Your Nation's Team Deserves These Skills
